Water Park of America's lifeguard staff members are certified as American Red Cross Lifeguards with special training for our facility. Each of our lifeguards spends 60+ hours in training before they are able to go out on duty. Their training includes advanced water rescue, spinal injury management, and extensive first aid training. Every lifeguard continues their safety training with 2 hours of continuing education per month. In addition to continuing their safety training, our lifeguards are also required to complete a fitness requirement every month; ensuing they are able to respond to any emergency that may arise.
Our water park is equipped with a state of the art filtration system that utilizes UV light to sanitize our water in conjunction to the traditional chlorine. Because we use both methods our park doesn't have an overpowering smell of chlorinated water. Our water is monitored multiple times per minute to ensure proper chemical levels and pH.
Water Park of America offers an ample amount of seating for people choosing not to partake in aquatic activities. With a large amount of our seating focused around our kids play area, "Fort Snelling", you will have no issue finding a table that is convenient for everyone.
Water Park of America also rents day use lockers for $6.00 with a $10.00 collateral fee that will get refunded when the key gets returned. At this time Water Park of America only accepts credit cards for all rental items.
Water Park of America was built in 2006 with safety and security in the forefront of every design. With multiple emergencies shut offs for every attraction, state of the art emergency equipment, and advanced communication tools, Water Park of America has safety built right in. We take pride in making "preventive rescues"; however, if an emergency does arise, rest assured that we are equipped and prepared to deal with the situation at hand. For questions about our safety please feel free to contact our aquatic management team.
